Stress

Nothing but stress,
I just want to go home and undress.
This is one of those days that even a cigar can’t fix,
I think I need a bottle of booze or a new pair of kicks.

My New Morning Routine

How do you guys prep before going to bed?
Do you put your throw pillows aside & settle in or is there any routine that you go through?

I've been unaware that I'm doing this routine for a week or two now. I didn't used to have any "ritual" but now I realize that I do & I'd want to share it with you. :)

I work in a call center company and my shift is 1030pm-0730am, I chose the sched because I work well at night & I love the night differential! (insert ha-ha here) so when I arrive at home which is like 5min away from the office here are the things I do before I hit the sheets:

1.) When I open the door my two babies ( Balto, age 5, Dalmatian-Labrador cross & Maxx, age 1,  Bichon-Frise ) welcome me with such hoorah that never fails to make me smile each time. I play with them after I put my bag, sunglasses & stuff somewhere before they can scratch anything. Such enthusiasts. My sweet treats.

2.) I eat breakfast with my parents before they go to work and watch TV a bit.

3.) Off to change clothes & shower. Just a quick half bath.

4.) Turn on my lappy and go online. Browse, browse, and browse for maybe an hour or two.

5.) Apply my face & eye cream.

6.) Back to browsing & will watch an episode of my current fave series: True Blood. I just started on Season 2. ( love Eric btw :D )

7.) Do some exercise. Very Mild Exercise.
The ones that don't really make me sweat. For me, exercising is like applying beauty products. The results do not depend on how you much you use in a single application but what matters is how often you use the product.
Like in exercise, it works for me if I do 30 or 50 reps of sit ups everyday than 100 every other day. Again here goes the saying Quality over Quantity.

8.) Plan or try to think of what to wear for the evening so that I won't spend much time for it later.

8.) Apply a little bit of lotion, set my alarm and then I go to bed.

Does my routine sound wierd? haha. It works for me in a way. Pretty sure this will change though when classes start so guess we'll see. :D

Feel free to share yours. ;)

It's Time for LeBron to get his Championship Ring ★

Miami Heat's Lebron James, the NBA's MVP and now a Champion, also my NBA Hero, finally ends his almost two-month twitter & media hiatus
early Friday, posting a 50-second video to thank fans for both their support and their patience.

James now has just over 5 million followers. He crossed that milestone Friday, a few hours after the Heat beat the Oklahoma City
Thunder in Game 5 of the finals to win the franchise's second championship.

James - whose Twitter handle is (at)kingjames - said he stopped tweeting during the playoffs in an effort to avoid distractions as he chased his first championship.

"I'm at a loss for words right now," James said in the video. "I want to shout-out my fans. I know I haven't been with you all the last couple months. Think April 27 was the last time I sent out a tweet. But I want you all to know that I just wanted to try to get as focused as possible on this championship run."

He paused there for a moment, pointing to his hat printed with the words "2012 NBA Champions" and the Heat logo.

"And as you can see, I am a champion," James continued. "But without you guys, it wouldn't have been possible. You guys stuck with me throughout the whole playoffs. You guys stuck with me through the last couple years. And thank you guys so much. You guys share this championship with me and this MVP trophy with me, this MVP finals trophy with me. Love you guys, and I am back."

After watching the NBA Finals 2012 Game 4 where in the Miami Heat won the close and closed out OKC for 3-1, I typed this down in my cellphone's memo:

Win or lose, i am and will always be a MIAMI Heat fan.. But i seriously think that its time for Lebron to get his championship ring. He is and has been woking hard for it, he truly deserves it.

Anyway, KD has still many years way ahead of him.. Im pretty sure if not next year or the year after that he'd get his own ring... That is if Kobe, Nowitzki or Parker wont get in his way...

Hehehe...:-)

I was planning to use this as my FB status and sure enough it was posted on my Facebook Wall on the 3rd quarter of Game 5. The Miami Heat delivered.  Lebron finished with 26 points, 13 assists and 11 rebounds in Game 5 of the title series Thursday night, leading the Miami Heat to a 121-106 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Looking at the way KD & Westbrook plays, I still somehow can't believe that they are just 23 turning 24 later this year. How can they grow to those awesome vertical length? and those strength and drive, seriously what milk are their parents feeding them?!!
Still, my team had the better bones, better drive and rose above it all. Highly commendable teamwork and team effort.

Miami won the second title in franchise history, and James won for the first time in three finals appearances.
I was at work during Game 5 and I the TV that we have on the floor is connected to a slingbox & the slingbox doesn't have internet connection, long story short we can't watch the game live on the floor. But I was pretty sure both the TVs in the Pantry are glued to the game. Good thing, I, and my fellow NBA fanatics, were always updated by our company's website: rr.com /
http://scoreboard.rr.com/sports.asp?sport=NBA , where in we can view the live scoreboard and it gets refreshed every 60sec within the game so we were really updated with the score but still it's nothing compared to seeing the action live.

The odds were with me as "VGH- Voluntary Go Home" was offered just a few minutes half time. Only 5 slots were allowed to log out before our 12nn end of shift and I was one of the lucky singko.
I hurriedly went to the pantry and lo and behold, I was right, guys and even some ladies are watching the game. Some are even familiar faces whom I watched with Game 3 in the same spot. Even our guards and facilities were glued to the screen.

Since last year, I was a Miami fan, me and my teammates from my previous team. It was my first team since I started working in

Convergys and the team was dominated by guys. They were betting heavily on Miami against Dallas Mavericks that they were really sure The Heat would win that they promised us freebies once they collect their winning money.
Well we all know, how that ended.
A painful loss, on Miami's home court as Dallas became the 2011 Champs, and not only for the players themselves but for the fans that supported them all through out ( especially the big guns who gambled their money away. )

I am not one who would bet on games or anything I'm not sure I'd win. I don't take risks like that and if ever I make a bet, most of the time it doesn't involve money but then I remember saying, " It will be our time next year. "
Guess I had an angel's tongue at that time. I wasn't able to religiously watch the Semi-Finals, but I'm always rooting for my team.
Way back last year I even had a profile pic of my Big 3 Babies :).
Though I missed out on the Western & Eastern Conference Games, which I knew were so unpredictably tight on both competing teams, I didn't miss a single game in the Finals. Lucky for me, I was always able to watch the games live to root for my team.

"The Celtics series, man, that was the most challenging series that I've ever played in - and I've played against the Detroit Pistons,"

Wade said. "It was the very thing we dealt with last year. We had to deal with being again under the microscope against the Boston Celtics, and they got us ready. Our backs were against the wall many times. But I knew, when we went into Boston and won Game 6, at that point right there I knew we could be world champions."

He was right.

James, Wade, Bosh and Mario Chalmers exited together with 3:01 left to play Thursday night, Miami by that point well on the way to a title-clinching 121-106 victory over the Thunder. It was much different from Wade's first title, the one in Dallas where he watched Jason Terry's 3-pointer to tie the game bounce off the rim and into his hands as the clock ran out.

Wade and James had a chat before Game 5, just silly talk about how they would envision the perfect finish. Wade said he wanted to be on the court for the clincher. James said he would rather be on the bench and celebrating by that point.

James' vision was the way it turned out.

Funny 'cause Games 1 & 2 where I watched the game at home, my dad was watching too. His team is really Chicago Bulls and he is an Anti-Heat, for many reasons others are as well. Last year, he rooted for Dallas, and this year of course no surprise for OKC. I would clap, cheer for Heat and he would for the Thunders during the game and we would make mockery of the other's team if the player can't make a score. hahaha. Father-Daughter bonding.
Mom is pretty naive when it comes to Basketball, or sports for that matter.
Earlier after dinner, Dad told me: "Durant cried after the game, did you see it?"
Me: " Yes I did. "
Mom: " Why? "
(Uhmmm, because they lost Mom, tsk)
I even remember texting Dad after Game 3 asking him what was the score 'cause I know he was watching. He simply replied: "We'll make up for it next time."

That next time, left them in the dust, he Heat were too good in this one, finishing off the Thunder with a 121-106 victory in Game 5 on

Thursday night. James had 26 points, 11 rebounds and 13 assists, a Triple-Double no less, then picked up all nine votes in balloting for the MVP award and one tip of the cap from Durant.

"Like I say, I'm not one for giving guys credit during the season, but it's over with, and that guy is an unbelievable player and an unbelievable person," Durant said. "I enjoyed working out with him this summer. It was fun playing against him in the finals, but you could just tell he was very focused from the beginning of the season."

Through all these, I've heard and read praises towards the League's Most Valuable Player. He has indeed changed and grew for the better. Even his teammates and coach Eric Spoelstra can attest the he has been more focus that ever. Even Dwyane Wade saying, that LeBron is the best player there is.
I really admire the way he went through the finals, he showed who he is and what he's made for. He is called King James for a reason, now that King has his rightful and most-deserved ring.

Asked Thursday what the title meant, James said, "It means everything."

He's got it at the age of 27, while Jordan got his first of seven at the age of 28 and personally,as a fan, I am really looking forward to the years to come for the Miami Heat. =)

Team president Pat Riley said during the trophy presentation: "we believe that we built a team that's going to be around for a while, and our goal is to hopefully come back every year."

I agree, that's why I've been rooting for this team and will be rooting for them for the years to come, because this team was built to win. They have amazing teamwork both offensively & defensively. Each member's performance was crucial  & each was able to deliver since Game 4. From Bosh's 3 points & rebounds on the perfect moments, Battier's unprevailing offense, and the awe-inspiring performance of Miller. He limped because of his injury with nearly every step while scoring 23 points in 23 minutes Game 5, he had three 3-pointers. Amazing. And well, Dwyane Wade is Dwyane Wade. He collected his 2nd ring, he is one of the players that I believe displays great sportsmanship.

So, how about doing it again?

Wade said: "This is one of the best finals, when you talk about matchups, when you talk about everyone tuning in and wanting to see, because these are two teams that in the summer everyone said they should be in the finals. We lived up to the billing. They're going to be around for a while, and we would love to be around just as long and just as much."

Wade, Riley and LeBron are saying they know this not the last time that they will see the Thunder.
"We hope to see them again,"  "I'm sure that we will." said Riley.

LeBron: "You know, this is not the last time we'll see the Oklahoma City," James said. "I wouldn't be surprised - this won't be the last time we see them in the finals."

Well, I guess we'll see next year.
Let's Go HEAT. :)))

Ninz and MyLabs

Just got home from yet another 'hang-out' with My Best Villains, Ian & Ken ( mylabs & ninz ) for a change we are complete.

I even said: " wow, we are complete again " then I realized it wasn't that long ago that we were last together, t'was only June 16th, not even two weeks yet. Its just that I, we, are just so used of being together all the time that we miss each other so terribly even just a couple of days of not seeing each other.
Ninz and I hang out a lot, almost every other day or at least 4-5 days a week, it's funny 'cause he & Ian are the ones who were classmates in College. It was Ian whom introduced us & then we just got really close that we go out even w/o Ian. We are just really of the same wavelength. As in. We are movie-goers, caffeine fanatics, french fry lovers, and the list could just go on and on..ooh, both lagawan too! :D
Earlier over dinner & the usual one bottle, we talked about our future. It all started when I asked them to go with me for the Maroon 5 concert at Manila this coming September. Ian is not really a big fan & Ken doesn't wanna spend that much for a concert though he loves Maroon 5 too. (sobs) Oh BTW, both of them are BSN Graduates from USLS (my alma mater as well, I'm currently BSCS 4A) both of them are already Registered Nurses. Ohoi!! :)) Ken is a staff at Lady of Mercy Hospital while Ian is working at Convergys as well. We met when she was transferred to my former TWC-NHD team and we really got close Feb. of 2011.
So back to the concert, they told me not to go instead we will go to Boracay, since it's been our plan for awhile now & I'm the only one who haven't been there yet. I suggested we spend our Halloween there, yay costume parties! :D Ian didn't wanna go if it's on season, and it would be better to go off season. Less crowd & cheaper.
So final plans were centered to Cebu. We will spend one night in Bantayan. Ian and I haven't gone there yet. Ken will be our ultimate tour guide since he lived in Cebu for awhile. He worked at Convergys as well for a couple of months under CitiBank. So for the next months, we will be thrifty. I will be thriftly. I will be frugal, I will! haha. It will be quite a challenge since I am the most 'gastadura' in the group, but that's another long story. ;)
We plan to go there this September, we will celebrate Ian's birthday there. I'm so excited.
We will try to squeeze in every adventure we can this year & the next 'cause we can never can tell when we're gonna be separated, they might pursue their Nursing careers sooner than we anticipate. huhu. I will finish my studies then I'll journey on my own, I hope near where they might be. But I know, no matter where we are, our friendship, will always strive & nourish over the years.
There are really friendships that you'd know that will last a lifetime & beyond, and this is one of those. :D
For the next month, all three of us will have driving lessons, (especially Ken's family bought a new car that no one is using, OHOI ) Ian is tired of commuting ( as if her place is so far away, she lives in Bata ) and I am just lagawan in nature. My dad would say, if I have my own car he'd drive me around or he'll get me a chauffeur 'cause they'd never know where I might go. ( Am I that transparent? lol )
Ian also plans to have French lessons, 'cause one of her plan-destinations is Canada. I just learned earlier from her that French is Canada's second language. How naive am i? haha. After our driving lessons, I plan to have swimming lessons, 'cause I only know the basic, if I wanna survive out there in the wild land and vast seas, I gotta learn how to paddle. haha.
Then hello Cebu, Bantayan, Malls, boutiques, Forever 21. :D speaking I don't really know why up until now Bacolod doesn't have F21. TSK. or even H&M, but then that's another topic.
Lots of plans, but I still hope we can save for the Cebu trip to push through. Guess, I won't be seeing my-supposed-to-be-next-boyfriend Adam Levine soon.

Victoria Secret Angel :))

Last Saturday June 16,2012 was my account's 1st Anniversary.
I was transferred to Time Warner Cable - New York Cable & BillingTechnical Support Rep. last year, I belong to wave 2. How fast time flies here we were celebrating the account's 365th day.
It was held at Sugarland Hotel. There was performances from each team, inspired by a TV Series that each team chose. Our team chose America's Next Top Model - New York City cycle.
I was Tyra Banks and our models wore wings as they walked and strutted their stuff on the runway, Victoria Secret style.

Here are some of the photos:

Here's my TL (team leader) who looked like a doll from Precious Moments. haha

My teammate Rizza :)
